horse magazines

I'm one of your new "horse friends", french, and I have subscribed to Equus, the magazine about horse health and care...
I like american way of thinking about horses however I find it a bit difficult to understand.

I don't know another one.

Is there a good magazine about horse care ?

Also, I would like to find a magazine which talk about equestrian shows? Does it exist?

Thanks

Gaelle

It depends on what you want to know and do with horses. John Lyons has a good magazine on horse training called Perfect Horse.
I trail ride so I get Trail Rider and Trail Blazer. I think there is a magazine sold for just about every discipline and breed.

I love the Mag "Equestian Life", all the Show news, training idea's, horse studs...just brillant!
Plus Horsedeals...good old horsedeals Where you pay top dollar for the least quality horses  Oh well, I guess exageration has got to be used some where, or should we settle with the least sinister word....ah lets not go there lol

Re: horse magazines

Oh une française!

I practise traditionnal training, and "high school" and I hate french magazines about horses. They are ridiculous, No?...

And the reason I wrote down this message is that I would like to work in an equestrian show company, as administrator.

Also, I'm making a thesis on horses in films (1945 to 2008). So I
Try to glean informations...

Gaelle
Did you need a list of good horse movies as well?

Hmmm...let's see how many I can come up with:
National Velvet
International Velvet
The Horse Whisperer
Dreamer
Phar Lap
SeaBiscuit
Black Beauty
The Black Stallion(movie/series)
Flicka
Virginia's Run
Spirit?
Racing Strips??

Anymore takers?

I've just seen the three first ones! And they are quite good! Real beautiful films!

I 've decided to make a comparison between french and american wranglers for films...

It's a bit difficult because of the special effects on computer, like in "Asterix on olympic games" (a french film), but I try to analyze the race of tanks with real shots and numeric effects....

I try.

If someone has a idea...

Thanks
