    Horse Massages

So I massage my mare's shoulders, mostly her right cause that's where she's stiff the most, and I stretch her legs. But for the most part I just check to see if she's tender on her back, never really thought of massaging her. But last week we took my sis's gelding in and found out the 5yro has arthritus in his hocks which leads to a sore back. And daily massages are recomended. I had taken my mare in to double check saddle fit (i'm paranoid about that) and so she was showing us how to massage the horses back on my mare. She got to her lower back and started fanning out on her HQ. My mare then stretches her front legs forward and almost touches her nose to ground :)

So now I know what she loves :) and i'm wondering what all massages ya'll give your horses? And their reactions to them
