What's up with the grain thing?

Some have said do and some have said don't on the subject of feeding horses grain? What are the pros and cons on this?

I think we'll probably go over-sized on the barn anyways, we plan on spoiling them as much as we do our two dogs :) :) Though, keeping it cozy is also another factor. I'll probably end up designing it myself as well as our home.

Another question I have is... how exactly do I show the horses who's boss? I need the how-to on horse discipline, I'm sure it's much different from dog training?
