I'm thinking about getting some kind of shelter for my horse that is going to foal. I was wondering about size...she is a small quarter horse (under 13hh) and she rarely stays in the barn (free choice) even during bad weather. I would like to give her the choice of a warm dry place for her and her baby to stay but they would not be kept in it. They would have a 60' diameter pen to play in. I think a regular 12' X 12' stall would be sufficient for them because they may not stay in it very much. What do you think?
Thanks!
Do you have any buildings you would recommend? I need something that doesn't have a floor, wood, and that can be sat directly on the ground.
