Horses' with an eye on a white face

Anyone have a horse that has 1 or 2 eyes on a white face?
My patchy has one blue eye and the other eye is on his white face.
These types of eyes' take a lot of care! Everyday, In this texas sunshine and heat, I keep his fly mask on, and then at night I take it off and clean his eye with a rag.

What do you do?

I know what you mean erg sunburn. I have 2 paints and one has a yin-yang on his face and the eye on the white is blue. So what I do is the fly mask routine and I put normal sunscreen on it. It works pretty well. No burns or skin issues.

Same here! His eye stays quite pretty. But every "un horsey" person asks "is he blind in that eye?"

You can also use the black stuff that football players use under their eyes to cut reflection, its seems to help on white faced horses to not get so sunburned or runny eyes, but it does tend to make a mess.
Also, you can have it permanetly tattooed by a beautician. Had a friend do that, the vet tranquilized the horse and the beautician did a permanent tattoo around the eye. Seemed to work. Had another person dye the horses hair around the eye.

Yes, I have heard about the tattoo around the eye deal. Do you have pictures of your paint with the tattooing?
