I agree with everyone who said the gray one!

Poor souls. I wonder how many more are like them where they came from? Don't let Fugs find out about this!

Do these horses belong to the rescue lady? I've never heard of a rescue that sends its horses to slaughter...

The second horse you posted looks lame. The leg is swollen, and it doesn't look like much weight is being put on it. I think I would probably go with the grey arab, since it is already broke, and seems to be in otherwise good shape (a bit thin, but nothing some feed, dewormer, and hay couldn't fix). Please let us know what you decide!

The gray gets my vote, too. That back leg on the bay looks whonky, and she's not putting any real weight on it. The chestnut youngster I don't like at all.

Rescues typically don't send their charges to slaughter. Sounds to me like they belong to a dealer or kill buyer, and they're giving people a chance to buy before they're put on the truck.

The gray is the only one on which I'd take a chance.

Grey is definitely the winner in regards to confirmation from what can be told from the pictures. He/She is actually pretty darn good looking aside from being underweight. I'd snatch him up.

The second one sadly will need a lot of medical help it looks like. Poor thing just looks all kinds of messed up.

Third one almost impossible to tell from the stance he/she is in. However it does look like he has a much steeper shoulder, so confirmation wise its not going to be the best choice.

Well... its official....the gray gelding has been pulled from the truck...he was paid in full...by my paypal account.
It could be a month or so before I get yo meet him..he's going to be hauled to Cali and a rescue there with the lady who coordinates all this, where he'll be evaluated, and I think im going to pay to have coffins done, then for a (hopefully) small fee, someone will hall him in a load of other horses to an area closer to me.
Its kind of funny, because all along I've hated grays and not wanted a gelding...and look what needed a home? Haha. He didn't need to die. So maybe ill still keep looking for my dreamhorse ( this would be ythe registered arab or half arab mare. Preferably who shows up at the front door with a bow around her neck.) While I ride him..and if he doesn't work out he goes back to rescue and not to a kill buer
I know its a shot in the dark..but let's keep our fingers crossed.
The qh follies and preg mare are also sponsored and safe. But no one took the arab mares. :(
I havve a name picked out. How lame is that?

My only suggestion is to not write him off as 'not dream horse material' until you meet him in person. To me, a dream horse isn't the perfect color/height/breed...its a feeling. A connection. You may just end up having that with the gray-by

ITA. Don't write him off! Have you ever owned an Arab? Have you ever ridden an Arab? If you haven't, then your dream horse may very well be just that - a dream. You may meet this boy and fall instantly in love.

What's his name!?!?!!?

And didn't you say he is 1/2 Arab? Isn't that close enough? Are you excited!?!?!!?!?!?
