    How does she look? Health-wieght-etc!

    Hey all.
Here is some pics of my mare Candi. She just turned 5 in April.
As some of you know I got her last sept oct. I then sent her for 60 days training and upon her return I noticed her just a tad off. I had her evaluated by several vets and it was found she had small bone leisions on her stifles. She ended up having surgery to remove them on March 16th.
She is now about 17 weeks post op and has been working for about the last 6-8 weeks. She is up to about 20-30 minutes of work (mostly trot) some canter (about 1-3 min each way).

She is recovereing well but it has been a tough road. She is learning along the way and getting better all the time. We are close to getting on her again.

I am actually hoping to get on her next week at some point. We will first get her reaccustomed the the mounting and dismounting process and then I will most likely be led around the first few times, then graduate to lounging while on and then we go on from there if all goes well.
Oh- fingers crossed as this has so nat been an easy task to get this far!

    4th pic July 8, 2010 (17 weeks post op)

How do you think her muscle tone and weight look?

I feel she has filled out a lot, bith with her weight and muscle.

Here is a video from the end of June. This was her first canter since surgery..

I think she looks absolutely amazing! I love how much LOVE there is in these pictures, you and Candi are just like Nelson and I - and that greatly touches me :)

    Thank you Palominolover
It has been an ordeal of sorts to get to this point and we still have some things to get through!
But I feel we are making progress.

Wow. She looks really good. I'm glad that she's recovering well, that's the most important thing.
