How old for first estrus?

Obligatory "Not sure I posted this in the right place statement."

Typically, how old are fillies before they have their first estrus? I have a 20 month old girl who I was ponying last night off my mare. A local stallion came by and we had a real rodeo. She started flirting, showing off, rearing and kicking at my mare (which is fun when you are mounted). Just trying to decide if she was really receptive or just playing up.

Just for clarity, there was no physical contact between the stallion and either of my girls.

Most fillies have their first heat cycle around the 1 1/2 y/o mark, so 20 months sounds about right.

Fillies can and do get impregnated, unfortunately. Some fillies have babies when they're barely 3 y/o themselves.
