Hunters bump?

Can someone tell me what hunters bump is? Is it a spinal injury or a muscle injury? Do horses recover from it and continue to be good riding horses?

This is a much disputed topic and you're likely to get a huge range of answers. Here is a pretty good article I've found on it. Personally, my TB has a hunter's bump. He is 20 and it does not affect him in the least. He still jumps and is in work 6 days out of 7. Good luck
