Hunters bump?

Recently I have noticed a raised spot in my horses spine, right before the highest point in his hips. He is 12 years old, and I have had him for a year. I used to ride him regularly, but now I am in college and he just does a lot of eating and some ground work. It doesn't seem to bother him, and he isn't lame.

I have also noticed that part of his mane now flips over to the opposite side. I have heard before that means there is something wrong?

I am not 100% sure if it's a hunters bump or not, but should I have it looked into?
