HYPP Question

So I have been wondering since I have seen an Impressive thread on another forum....

Is Impressive the only HYPP carrier? Or are there other cases?

AFAIK every horse that has been found to carry HYPP has traced back to Impressive.

Any horse ever detected to have HYPP in homozygous or heterozygous form had Impressive somewhere in their bloodlines.

So he is the only horse that is known to be a carrier?

He is the one that the HYPP mutation started with if that is what you are asking...

But at this point in time, no he is not the only carrier, many, many horses that trace back to him are afflicted/carriers of HYPP...

At this point in time, yes, he is the horse that started it all.

Yes to the top statement. Because I know any horse that goes back to him and are postive got it from him. Just curious if there were any non related cases.

Thank You!
