Well if you are too worried about it you can call an equine vet. Even if they don't come out to see her, you can at least ask one what they think about it.
That said it sounds like one of those wounds that just plain happens. She may have scraped her foot and gotten a cut. Keep it clean and keep an eye on it. If it doesn't get better be sure to have a vet out.
Is it on the front or the side of her coronet band? The only thing that can be concerning is the growth of the new hoof with an injury like this, depending on the depth of the wound.If its just a scrape (not much blood, no gauge) then I wouldn't worry about it. Like I said if you are worried call up a vet and ask them. But it sounds like a scrape that will get better with proper care from you.
