    Ugh. Its such a hard decision, but you're making the right one. We just lost one due to a blood clot that moved to his brain (he was a 5yr old gelding), and now we have to decide if we need to put down one who may not recover from an infection in a joint. Its hard to lose them so close together. Good luck with everything. Atleast you can be there with him, and have the support of friends.
