I thought he was going to die??

So as I was putting my horse back in the pen today after our ride, I noticed one of the horses laying down. At first I didn't think anything of it and thought it was cute but when I walked over, he was acting really weird and unexplainable.

He was stretching his nose out away from me, his eyes were rolling back into his head and was making weird noises. I didn't really know what to do so I bent down to pet his face and soothe him. He tried to get up twice and failed. I then decided to run to the house to get them to come out and look at him but there was no answer. I ran back to check on him, then back to the house again. I decided I should find a phone nearby (because I dont have one o.o) I looked back to see if he was still laying on the ground...and he was just drinking water...I couldn't understand why one second he was practically dying and the next he was completely fine..any idea what happened?

Sounds like he could have been in a deep sleep.......lots of horses moan and groan and have eye movement, muscles twitch......when sleeping.

Can horses have dreams? But sleeping could have been the reason for that.

I definately think horses dream. I was sitting with Phantom a few days ago while he was laying down sleeping and he was twitching his ears and nickering in his sleep it was so cute! I got it on video.
