Ice on my horse's winter coat

Ice is a way to see that their coat is actually working. The hair is up, ice on the outside and warmth on the inside it is normal. As long as they are not shivering :) If you decide to blanket them, make sure there is enough blankets to keep them warm but not sweating underneath
