i'm back - with updates on our nursemare rescue filly

Sorry i've been mia...it's been a rough few months here on the farm with the rescue. Mid-june we rescued a small nurse mare filly who was at the time approx 3 mos old. She was in rough shape, and having a tough time of it, and then a few weeks ago she took a dramatic turn for the worse.

In short, she developed an internal infection that actually the vet thinks she's had from lack of colostrum, but that finally went clinical. She's been fighting for her life ever since, and while it's still a struggle, she's getting better every day. She now has her own blog (ever after hallelujah - a rescue story) and we're raising funds to help with her ongoing vet bills. She's the new poster child for the horse rescue and will help educate people on the plight of nursemare foals and all unwanted horses in the world today.

If you have time time, please read, pass along, and what not. The blog is updated a few times weekly so check back for more info on how she is doing. Anyway....that's where i've been the past few weeks....i'm glad to be back, and am going to start catching up on threads now :)
