immune system enhansing feed/supplements ?

My horse just got over uveitis a few weeks ago and now he has it again. Iíve been told that putting garlic in his food will help increase his immune system. I do give him 1/2 a gram of bute each day with Purina mills equalizer. I was wondering if there was any supplement that has ingredients meant to boost the immune system.

It's a Chinese herbal solution - I use it to fight a nasty sarcoid on my gelding's face. I cannot believe the results!!!! However.....this Company also has UVEITIS SOLUTION which you may want to check out! I add the Total Immune Health to my gelding's feed - he LOVES it- will eat it out of my hand - it looks and smells like ground cinnamon! I wish you and your horse the very best of luck! The Company is FOR LOVE OF THE HORSE - (Tell them Iggy sent you!) - I would trust any and all of their products without any doubt in my mind and you could not find nicer people to deal with! Their phone # is (866)537-7336

Thankyou! That's great to hear! Do you have to order it, or can you find it in stores?

I use and have found B-12 shots work very very well to boost a horses immune system. I use it a lot of several of my horses and have found it works very well to keep then in good health or when they are starting to act like they are getting down I use it. In expensive and works well.

I order on line - it's not in stores - - their e-mail is:
I can't say enough positive things about the Total Immune Health! I would not doubt that you will have the same positive experience (whether you use the Total Immune Health, the Uveitis Solution or both!)
Iggy's sarcoid has healed!!! New hair is growing in - I have NEVER seen anything like it! I am totally amazed!

Would they send it if a local tack store would be willing to bring it in? Cause I was talking to the owner of a new tack shop and she said she would probably bring it if she could.

You need to be careful with supplement. I don't usually get off brands, unless its a simple formuila. The FDA doesnt regulate horse supplements, so they could even hurt your horse. Talk to the vet first. I thought about getting a magnesium supplement for my mare to calm her down, and my vet said not to, because it can really mess up their muscle function if you give too much.

I would imagine the owner of the tack store could carry the product you are interested in - you could have them check with the Company.
These products I've told you about are made by Dr. Joseph Thomas - he has a Ph.D from MIT in medical research and has been a practitioner, teacher, and consultant in Chinese medicine for over 25 years and is deeply committed to his equine patients well being. I know the products are of the highest quality - I use them for my own horses and have had remarkable results! Sometimes a situation (as with my gelding's sarcoid)
Calls for something different than traditional treatment - I believe in the holistic theory - I can honestly say that I have seen the promised results and I could not be more pleased! I do want you to do your research and see if this is something that will work for your horse - I hope you find just the right supplement for your horse and I hope you will be as thrilled with it as I am with the products I use from For Love Of The Horse!
