We may be getting our first horse within the next month and the barn mgr where we would be boarding her is advising me to get insurance. She says the cost is around $50,00 per month. Is this a good idea or overkill? They have their own vet that takes care of all of the horses there and I'm wondering if it's not sort of a kickback type thing they do for him.
