Can anyone give me some advice about the itch, my buckskin mear gets it from the sandfly and other bugs. She is naughty and wont let me put any bug spray or creams (she doesnt like the smell of it) on her to help her out.I keep trying tho. She is ruged. I've tried diffrent kinds of horse food ect. Any advice would be great as im pulling my hair out myself.

The best thing for you to do is, get her over the fear of the spray. That is the only and best way to keep unwanted bugs away from the horses. I had a horse that was afraid of the bug spray. We took the bug spray out and filled it with water. I would stand off to the side of her and spray the ground. The minuet she stopped moving, I would pat and give her a treat. Soon she learned and just got closer, then we could spray her with the water. Then we just switched out the water with the fly spray. All fixed.
