Thanks guys. Id post an updated picture..... but my phone wont let me :/
But he is doing better. There may ne a quarter of the swelling left to go down. He's down to half a gram of bute once a day. Still flushing 3x a day. It is super itchy now. He scratches on everything he can.
Hes actually been really good since hes been locked up in the stall. But Im sure he is gona love getting out abd strachimg his legs when he can be turned out again.

Vet came out again today to ultrsound again. There were no more abcesses. The incision I have been flushing closed completly yesterday. So she re-opened it so I can continue to flush it so that it heals from the inside out. And since there is no more infection.... he can start going out to pasture again :)

I saw a video on youtube similar to this but the horse's whole chest was swollen and a river of nastiness came out when they lanced it. It was the most vile disgusting thing I've ever seen lol. Your guy must be feeling better now that the pressure is gone...

Glad it is getting better! We had a baaad outbreak of Pigeon Fever here. And it is definitely not limited to dry states- I am surrounded by and am in a very wet area.
