    I guess I should ask how intense are your workouts?
    I also agree with a good ration balancer.
    Conditioning is getting your horse in shape. If he is in shape, the workouts will be easier for him and he will use less energy. Especially since we don't ride much over the winter it is important to start him back into a work schedule slowly.
