Left Eye and Ginger: injured barrel horses

Haven't made updates for ever on the girls. Both are back home in Nevada. Left Eye looks great, her injury is healed. Some scarring but no issues with running. Ginger, her injury is healing, it looks good, but it is finally closing together and there is some tightening up under the "armpit" area due to the massive skin loss. So, she might not run again, but can be ridden lightly. I think my granddaughter will be looking for a barrle horse this spring.

That's wonderful to hear. I am so glad that both of them were able to come back from such horrific injuries. I don't know if it would work with horses but I know that on people who have a lot of scar tissue potential, some of the physical therapy includes messaging the area with a very good moisturizer and stretching the area as much as possible to keep the scar tissue from contracting the area. I have heard it is fairly uncomfortable but really helps with mobility.
