Left Eye is gone RIP

My daughter had to euthanize Left Eye today. She somehow managed to sever her digital artery in her front foot and cut it to the bone. The vet said there was nothing he was able to do.
If you remember, Left Eye was the one eyed barrel mare that was attacked by a pack of dogs early last year, Ami was able to get her healed and ready to run.
I was devastated for her, I was not able to be there since she lives 6 hours away, it was just her, the grandkids and the vet.
She was bleeding out and it didn't take much to finish her off, she died easily and fast. RIP Left Eye

Oh, how horrible. Especially after pulling through the whole ordeal with the dog attack. My thoughts are with all of you.

RIP Left Eye.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

My daughter just sent me photos, I can tell by looking at them that the tendons were cut, she could not put her foot flat, stood it on the tip of the hoof.,
My daughter is having a very hard time , I wish I was there to hug here.
