Ok, thanks, PeggySue. I have a fly mask he's wearing now in his stall. It doesn't have UV protection though....at least now I feel okay about the fog that sets up camp for the winter here in northern Cali....

I'm going to have to wait until the tests come back to invest in anything right now. $$$$$ is sooooooooo tight. I think the shaded stall, and fly mask are ok for now?

They shoudl be fine ...

Make sure when he is in you have a buddy for him to keep him company ... I have not had time to research what they think he has but I am curious as to why the vet is jumping to that instead of UV eyetis ?? UV Eyetis is fairly common and would be my first thought

HE'S NEGATIVE!!!! WOOHOO!!! Not only is my guy safe and healthy, but I also don't have to spend 500 $$ on treatment.

Oh, I'm so happy for my guy.

Thanks so much for the support. I was totally freaked, and worried about Willy! Ugh...makes me want to get the cow vaccine!

Wow, I can't believe I missed this whole thread. Glad to hear Willie is doing better.
I have to ask, did the vet do a die check? Put some die in the eye to check for scratches or injury. I've had several horses come up with swollen ***** eyes but its always been a poke or scratch on the eye.
Its usually only costs $200 tops.
