Lots of different opinions but the only one that counts is one from the good farrier you use.
Can't agree less to this close-minded comment, sorry. It's all very well if you've done your homework & *know* your farrier is exceptionally knowledgeable, skilled, never makes mistakes, etc, but what if you don't know if they're quite as good as you wish they were? Then it's not much more than blind faith. And why trust that any more than you'd trust the anonymous advice here?? We may all have entirely valid comments, or we may not. Don't just take anyone's word for it, regardless of what kind of 'expert' they may be. "Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it" .......~Buddha
