Lonely horse

I wasn't sure where to post this.....

I have a racehorse at the track. He is kept in only a stall. I can't be there a ton and he is getting kind of grumpy and lonely. There are no other horses around him. I have heard of people getting cats or goats for racehorses....do you think this might be a good idea? Has anyone had personal experience with something like this? Any suggestions would be welcome. I can't move him at this point though so not that

Thanks!

Goats are great...or a mini horse, or possibly even a donkey. I would not suggest a cat, as in order to be a good companion (if the two even "clicked" at all) it would have to live there with him, which might get complicated. Best stick with another hooved animal.
