Lump on belly

Misty has a lump under her belly, just back from where the girth would be. She's retired so it isn't from a rubbing girth. It is summer here, so maybe a bug bite, but I want to know what you guys think?

I've heard about hematomas and edemas, but I don't know how to tell or if they're dangerous

I'll get a pic up asap.

My mare will get a little lump there from time to time. I was told it was from the way her front feet are positioned when she lays down/gets up. It always goes away with no intervention. Maybe it's something similar?

My mare had a hematoma on her chest, she was fine. Just used Horseman's Dream to take down the swelling.
