Lump on horse's belly

This lump developed about a month and a half ago. We thought she had just got caught on something. It got hard, and scabbed over, so we thought it was healing. It hasn't gotten any bigger, but it has started bleeding again. Wondering what it is? She is a 13 year old paint mare. Sorry the picture is upside down.

You really should have a vet look at it.

Could it be a sarcoid? I am taking Hunter to the vet tomorrow as I think he has one on his face. It usually has a scab on it but I think his fly mask rubbed it off.

This is a thread I started about Hunters, check out the picts

Is this a sarcoid?

I am having a vet come look at it. He can't get out here for a couple of days. I have been told by people coming and looking at the horses for sale, that it is anything from an infected bug bite to melanoma.

Hmmm My vet is coming tomorrow to look at Hunters. I would be interested in what your vet says.

To me it looks kind of like a hernia. It is the same place that one of our carriage horses has a hernia. The vet is the only one who can tell you for sure. Hopefully its nothing serious.
