Magnetic Tendon Boots -- They Work?

Having some front tendon swelling on the right front due to 1) a badly pulled shoe back in the summer which took off some hoof and we've been working with it to rehab, and 2) a club foot, which is a challenge. He's a show horse and has been balking in the ring on the trot cue because of the "ouchiness". Rides fine for awhile, then starts limping when it gets sore or swollen. Ridden by a 10-year old. Does anyone have any experience with shin boots with magnets that are designed to help tendons and tendon swelling? If so, what is your experience and can you recommend a boot. Maybe some time off and anti-inflammatories for a bit? I don't want it to come back, I want to fix it.
