    Make your self a clean rice sock and heat it in the microwave. Apply it around the wounded area and it will help to soften the inner pus , then you can start to milk out the pus which is important , you can use ichthammol ointment to draw out the pus over night.

    Well, the barn is about 15 minutes from my house and there is no microwave at the barn so I think it'd be cooled off by the time I got there. I'm supposed to wash the wound with cold water, but I've been running the cold water over the entire area. Is that wrong? Should I be using heat on the big knot on his shoulder?
