Mare Care

My mother's 17 year old mare has had regular cycles since we bought her in January 2012. Last summer she tended to get a little 'squealy' and would squirt whenever anyone looked at her when she was in heat, so we started her on Mare Magic- which is basically pulverized raspberry leaves, and have been supplementing her as directed on the label ever since, and her behavior improved immensely (as far as squealing and squirting).

However, I have started to notice that lately she won't eat her grain when the Mare Magic is in it- she tips it over and walks away and one of the geldings eats it. She was in heat last week, and she still is showing signs of being in heat this week.

Is there any other supplement for mares that isn't the raspberry leaves that she suddenly doesn't like? Is the longer than normal heat something I should call the vet about?
