Mini with a drippy eye

I have a mini that we adopted from the Humane Society a while back. His eye started dripping a few months back and because we have had a hot and dry summer, I have been cleaning it with clear eyes. When I saw a few white dots at the bottom on the actual eye, I called the vet. He gave me so cream for the eye and banamine, but he is really not sure what it is. He did say the eye is starting to cloud, so could this be the start of him losing his sight in that eye? There is nothing in the other eye.

Keep doing what the vet said & in the meantime try to find a vet very experienced in eye care.
