Muzzle time in the South:(

I hate hate hate that grazing muzzle but I had to put it on my IR horse today, February 23rd

Why?? Because it's been warm enough and we've had enough rain that those pretty little purple ground flowers are in full bloom -- not just a few here and there. The side yard is nothing but a purple carpet.

That means there's enough sugar (fructan) in the grass to make this particular horse founder in a Skinny Minute.

He won't have to wear it every single day, just yet but when I see flowers, I see founder

Just giving the warning for anyone with a Fatso and/or metabolic issues -- if you see flowers (Daffodils don't count they bloom when it's freezing), get that muzzle on during the day
