yup yup my boy as too. He never really got a winter coat though because we to the whole leave the lights on till 9am trick so he's had his "summer" coat year round with lots of blankeys lol.

All of mine stay turned out all the time and I have never seen them shed this early. All of mine are nearly slicked off, just the butt and legs remain to shed completely. I was shocked when I brushed my bay mustang and can already read his freezebrand. If he has even a tiny bit of extra hair, it gets blurry and unreadable but I can read it already......................................Crazy !! Hurray for spring!

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog:

I'm SO glad I found this thread. My TWH has started shedding...he looked like a Woolly Mammoth and now it's coming off faster than I can keep up. I was really starting to wonder! Our paint isn't very hairy so he's not really shedding. I just think my boy was extra thick coated!!

I got finished grooming him the other night and my husband thought there was a dead animal in the barn (ew!) but it was just Rum's hair!!

my two older mares have started shedding weeks ago. my two foals still have all their fur. it seems like they start loosing their fur when its warm and gaining it back when it gets cold. idk but it is going to be in the teens tonight and mid 70s through the rest of the week i feel sry for my babies.

Strength lies within the heart
but the strengh to trust lies between the horse and his rider!!!
