Nasal cyst?

Horse has drainage in one nostril, it's yellow and stinky like pus not mucus. It's bright yellow.

Could it be a sinus abscess that has burst? Horse is a bit wobbly when he puts his head up to evade getting his nose wiped. No fever, no sensitive spots, a little bit of heat on the side of his face where the drainage is but all palpating turned up with no pain or resistance...

Any thoughts?

Hmmm I would have a vet check it out, it could be anything from an abscessed tooth to an infection in his gutteral pouch....Is he still eating and drinking normally?

He doesn't like sticking his head down for his hay - I think because it makes it drain. But he will still eat his grain from the bucket and drink just fine. It's just a friend of mine's horse, I think they had the vet out today. I will ask her how it went, I just wanted to get some opinions. I thought it might be in the sinuses since his balance was affected.
