Navicular?

We suspect that my mare might have navicular. When we had got her she seemed foot sore, which we blamed a poor shoing job. My farrier re-did her feet about 6 weeks ago, which helped a bit, but she still is not quite right. We had then thought that maybe this soreness really isn't in her feet and that she was arthritic as she did appear to have some shoulder stiffness as well. She is not uncomfortable to just walk, but she is noticably off at a trot. I had been lightly trail riding her at a walk only, which she doesn't not seem uncomfortable with at all and moves along well. Its very hard to pinpoint where she is off because of an old injury along her hind leg and has a little "hitch in her get along", which she most likely will always have as the muscling was slightly atrophied compared to her other leg. She is on msm and moody mare, but no other supplements.
She is sensitive to pressure put on her heel (I don't have hoof testers, but she flinches slightly when I put pressure on with my hands) . We are having the vet out at some point to finish spring shots and have asked him to bring along his portable x-ray unit to take some pictures of her. She's also just lost a shoe, but I think we are going to hold off on having the farrier tack it back on until x-rays are done incase she might need some shoeing changes.

Your best bet is getting a solid diagnosis from a vet, then discussing treatment options with both your vet and farrier - it's really great if they will/can work together on the issue.
