    Have you tried canter/stops? That can help them to stay off the forehand, get their butt under & thinking slow down.
    Stop after a few strides but only long enough to stop & maybe give a few pats, then canter again & repeat mixing up the number of allowed strides. Soon they will be slowing down waiting for the stop cue, even if it doesn't come after only a few strides.
    This works best if you can canter from a stop (or walk if need be)

    Your horse looks like a blast to ride! I like her.

    Thanks she is a blast! Considering she just now startedworking under saddle, she has never refused to do anything.
