new pasture

Ok well I bought my first horse and where he's at he doesnt have grass in his pasture, at the new place theres TONS of grass. What should I do?

Tons of grass isn't necessarily a good thing. I think it depends on what you feed your horse and how long he will be turned out for.

Start small. If you have the opportunity to hand graze for about twenty minutes for about a week, and then you can keep him put him out for maybe 45 minutes a few days, an hour for a few days, an hour and a half, you get the idea. Smart small and do it gradually. If he really isn't on any grass, starting to get some will be a big change.
