Trailering right after is not that much of a problem. We trailered one to the vet to be done. After he came to and walked around for a bit, we took him home.
As for him being too sore afterward, we were told the same thing. We were told that they are too sore to buck and rear. Not true so I think they could mate if they felt like it. Posted via Mobile Device
The seller is willing to have it done at her place, as long as I'm there to help out, and we weren't planning on moving them until October anyway so we're going with option 1, I think. I just have to get a quote from her very to make sure it isn't crazy expensive.
I think he'll probably have to be laid down because he needs some work on halter breaking and he's also quite short.. Not a lot of room for the vet to work. Posted via Mobile Device
It was 5 years ago when we had Ghost done. It cost $100 but like I said, we took him in to be done. There probably will be a farm call fee by the vet and mileage fee. So depending on how far the vet has to go, and the increase in cost of doing it, it might be around $200 - $250. Give the vet a call and they could give you an estimate. Posted via Mobile Device
