New source of EEE

This was posted on my local forum -- I don't even know what to say

I have seen Cottonmouths at the bottom of either end of my road, in the creeks but, thankfully have never seen them up where we live. Probably because we don't have a creek or a pond and the neighobr's Weimaraner is one heck of a snake hunter (I've watched her).

Just another reason for me to not like snakes. Thankfully we don't have a water source near us so no cottonmouths. Copperheads haven't been around here in the last 10yrs or more. Unfortunately we have more corn snakes than I want and they are contentious little beasts. Probably all that EEE that makes them so cranky.

I saw that article too! The good news it now that they know how the virus is surviving harsh winters, they might be able to come up with a way to stop it!

I knew I didn't like snakes for a reason ;)
