Hello... I have a question about our new addition at the horse shelter. He is a stallion, around 13 hh tall, over 10 years old. He was a cart horse all his life.
He has a problem around the eyes and mouth. He hasn't any hair around the eyes, it's only the skin. He doesn't seems to have a problem because of it but I don't know what can cause this. It's possible to be the result of an infection?
And the second problem are his front legs. The pastern is very long and sloppy. Do you think that his feet look very strange? It's another problem or it's just a conformational flaw?
And btw. The horse will be gelded soon. He isn't stallion quality and is a bit hard to handle.
