Maybe in a year the price will go down? Or they will come up with something that reverses it? Yea just being hopeful now.

Poppy- I don't even know what type of boots they were, they were just kind of randomly sitting there on the shelf. They may have been poultice boots though, which would explain the price.

Does anyone know how long it takes bute to get in their system? I figured having it in her morning grain is too far away from when I get there in the late afternoon. So if I give it to her right away would it be affecting her a half hour later when we are ready to ride?

Iam currently using bute for my gelding who's got laminitis and lyme dease. It takes about 2 hours before he feels better. Might be diffrent in your case.

My boy is in pretty tough shape right now.

Ugh sorry to hear that spirit. I know how hard you have worked to get his feet right. Well I'm going to give her the bute as soon as I get there and just work slowly and see how she's reacting.

Well we rode tonight for about 15-20 minutes and she was quite the feisty one that's for sure. She even kicked out a couple times which says she is feeling better after the adjustment. Her trot was great, very fast but not short strided. Her canter was great too but that didn't last long as she really wanted to go faster and there was a lesson in the arena at the same time so yea fun times.

That's good news (not necessarily the kicking, But everything else!) Glad to hear she seems to be feeling better!

Haha yes. The instructor got to see a true Lizzy fit for the first time and why wouldn't it be during someone's lesson. The vet said she was very opinionated and that is one nice way to put it. I think this way I'm forced to keep her working so it should keep her better behaved.
