OCD success stories. Or not so successful

Hi there
My lovely 5yo TB just had x rays done & he's got OCD & arthritis in stifle & hock. I'm devastated and my research does nothing to make me feel better! My vet is getting a second opinion but at this stage he's thinking injections. I don't want my horse to be in pain. I'm curious as to other peoples experiences with this, good or bad. There are so many "magical potions" out there that claim to fix everything, I'm intrigued to find out what does actually make a difference :)
