Odd Bumps

I noticed my yearling had 3 quarter sized, fluid filed bumps on his back. One near his withers and one on his hindquarters, so quite spread out. They were easy to peel off, but soft and not scabby or flakey. They came off in almost a perfect circle, and left a round patch of fresh pink skin underneath.

My other horse had them about two weeks ago, but they were much smaller in size.

Anyone know what they might be?

I don't think so, that was my first thought too and one I'm still looking into. I looked up the description of ringworm and it mentioned hair loss, scabs and broken blisters. This looked more like a pimple that you peel off instead of pop (a very large one.) Almost like hives, but.. peelable and without the hair loss ringworm mentions. I'm hoping I can go over and see in the daylight, its really hard to tell at night

After looking at more pictures, I don't believe it's ring worm. They just don't have the same description or appearance. I really don't think it's rain rot, from what I know of that, that's more scabby and flakey. If they pop up again my friend says she'll take a look, she's got more horse knowledge than I do (and as a nurse, can spot Ringworm.)

Hives can peel after several days, if they're bad enough....

Thanks. I'm hoping the 3 I peeled off are the end of it. I hate mystery's when it comes to health issues.
