Question Odd Leg Movement...

My horse has one hind leg that moves oddly only when he's walking, it looks as if he doesn't bend it at the hock. It does NOT hurt him, or bother him, and you have to be really looking to notice it. I also find it odd that once he trot or canters it dissapears. Have you ever heard of this? I have seen it in other horses. I was thinking that it might just be a lazy bad habit... Any thoughts?
