Percheron, mare with white line desiese

My instructor has a 11 year old percheron mare. She has white line desiese in both of her front feet, and possibly in her back feet as well. We don't have the time, or money to treatt and or dr. Her feet, we don't know what to do. Sayer dosn't want to put her down.

How bad is the WLD? I don't ever give up on horses with problems in that area. I've never had one that didn't recover with the right treatment (and it isn't THAT expensive to treat, in my experience) and frequent, proper trims.

Well, It's pretty bad in the front, but not noticible in the back, but the front are definitely not getting any better. Sayer is treating her feet as well as she can, but the mare is not at the stables, she is a pastured horse. We wanted to move her to the barn, but there was no room for her, we are already over packed... Sayer is willing to give her away to someone who has the time and pasture for her.

Even at pasture, there are ways to treat. I wish I was in position to take her...I would just to get her back up and running! I am too far away though.

I know of someone in the area who might be able to take this horse to rehab if still available..

I don't intend to sound rude. Nor do I wish to interupt anything that anyone else here is trying to do to help.
But.........

I live up in the Conroe area and if it'll help, I might can get out to look at your horse this week end. I'm not an expert by no means but I do have a vet that comes by my place when I need him AND I am in a position to give daily care to an ailing horse.

The only hitches in the glitch might be......

I currently have two (healthy)horses myself which get along just great. I can't however, say ahead of time how well my mare will accept another. But I'd be willing to try, if it'll save your horse from being put down.

The other thing is.... I'll want to talk this over with my vet before I commit to assuming ownership of a sick horse which will be pastured with my other two.
