pigeon fever again?

My mare had pigeon fever this last fall from getting a cut on her knee where the infection got in. So after quite a few months she gets better and all is well.

Then a week ago I notice again on her chest a little golf ball sized lump and its really squishy. A week later its the size of my hand and getting firmer but not hard.

So my question is could this be pigeon fever coming back again, because the last time the vet was out he said now that she's had it she will have an immunity against it. Or would you just think a hematoma?

I'll get a picture in a while too if that might help.

Here is the pics. It seems odd to me how it is growing a bit but is flat and about 1-2 inches thick just like when she had pigeon fever. I would think a hematoma would hang more like the shape of a ball.
