Pink noses

This boy is about as pink as they come,

So far we haven't had any sun burn episodes but it isn't July yet either. I am thinking a full fly mask with ears & sewing something that covers all the way down to his nose? Does anyone have another clever idea? What do you do for pink noses? He has been in 24/7 turn out since January 1st for the first time in his life. I know the stand by turn out at night, apply sun screen but I promised him we'd see if we can't avoid that. I think what I am envisioning will work, just thought I'd rack some other brains or maybe they make something that I do not know about.

You could try the Cashel Crusader fly mask in the the long nose style. It covers all the way down the nose.

My mare has a pink nose and I've never had problems with sunburn, to be honest. She's in a dry lot paddock with little to no shadw for a good portion of the day. If I had to i'd just put a fly mask with a nose extension.

I guess I could have taken a look online, not just at my local stores which have nothing in the long nose variety. Yes, that is what I was thinking of making. I'll gladly buy the non-redneck version though! I think this will offer a little extra nose shade.

Nothing extraordinary so don't judge the boy, he's had a rough go. We may be working on one of a few photographers for May or June though

Back to lounging over ground poles as of last week *claps*

I use a full face fly mask but I also use My Pony Sunblock. It's a powder sunblock that is waterproof and odorless. I used to use baby sunblock but Sky hated the smell and I also heard it can make their water taste bad to them, so they end up drinking less.

THANK YOU! He looks great to me

ETA: I still can't figure out why I like him so much, but I do. He just makes me smile every time I look at him LOL
