Possible Bone Spavin?

My 15 year old QH seems to have something going on in her left hock. I had a lesson yesterday to try and get Shadow to take the left lead. What we soon realised that was she would start off with the right(hand) lead and then as soon as she bucked she would switch into it. She goes off fine to the right without anything but not going left. My instructor noticed that she has the slightest toe drag and under track on the left side. As well as her hock locking up and then after she bucked she had normal motion. Shadow was trying her little heart out for me so we figured there had to be something wrong. So she said that it could be a number of things and for me to look it up. What I found was quite scary. I found a site about Bone Spavin. It described her perfectly. With her hock locking up and being so sore. Could this be what it is? And how bad can it possibly get, and can it be fixed. I don't know much about this at all...

I'm not by any means saying you don't have hock issues but it sounds more like a stifle problem to me . I'm no vet but I think your horse needs to see one .
