We always have most of those things on hand but had never heard of SMZ we've only had horses for a little over 4 years, the guy that did finally come out is pretty much a country vet, and he is pretty darn awesome. We have our normal vet who has gelded my little colt, and nursed my mom's horse back to health when she almost lost her whole hoof to barbed wire, he also helped me through my girl with her bowed tendon, the vet we used yesterday gave us a perscription for about 200 pills per horse, and it was 60 bucks. For all 600 pills which was really nice. He also only charged us 55$'s to come all the way here, THAT is someone who genuinely cares,

We did use this vet back when snowflake was pregnant with sparta, however we stopped using him when we asked for a hand check and he came out and looked at her belly, and then at her udder, and said "yup, she's pregnant.. could be due tomorrow or 3 months from now." he did give her, her tetnus and rhino vaccines so that was good.
